The fifth Council of Santa Luċija was elected in the local elections of March 2007. This election was contested by five candidates for the Malta Labour Party and four candidates for the Nationalist Party. The Councillors elected are four for the Malta Labour Party and one for the Nationalist Party.

Mr Frederick Cutajar was elected Mayor for the fifth consecutive time with an unanimous vote in the Council Meeting held on Wednesday, 4 April 2007. Mr Balzan was elected Vice Mayor for the third consecutive time during the same meeting.
